One of the club’s signature events is the annual Memorial Day Craft Faire. This popular event showcases talented entrepreneurs, artisans, and craftspeople while providing a vibrant destination for visitors throughout the Lake Almanor Basin during the holiday weekend. The Craft Faire not only supports small businesses and local artists, but also helps create a welcoming community atmosphere that celebrates creativity and local talent.
Proceeds from Rotary events directly support the club’s scholarship programs, including college, vocational, and continuing education scholarships for local students pursuing their goals and careers. Investing in education remains one of the club’s highest priorities, helping students build strong futures and give back to their communities in return.
The Rotary Club of Chester supports more than 21 community programs and activities throughout the year. Just a few of these include youth leadership camps, the popular Duck Race held during the Fourth of July celebration, youth Speech and Music contests, and the club’s newest addition — the Labor Day Cardboard Regatta on Lake Almanor. These events encourage creativity, leadership, teamwork, and community involvement for participants of all ages.
With every fundraiser, event, and volunteer effort, the Rotary Club of Chester continues its mission of “Service Above Self,” creating opportunities that enrich the lives of residents and visitors throughout the region. Want to JOIN US? RotaryClubofChester.org
